Azores Receives Seven-System Order for Model 6700 Stepper


November 15, 2006 - WILMINGTON, MA - Azores Corp, a leading manufacturer of advanced photolithography steppers for mobile display applications, announces an unprecedented seven-system order for its Model 6700 PanelPrinter from a single, high-profile display manufacturer in Asia. This brings to 12 the number of systems that Azores has sold to the Asian market, thereby strengthening its service presence in this rapidly growing market.

The Model 6700 System provides optimal throughput and resolution in a Gen 3.5 configuration. The 6700 features either a 160 mm imaging field for improved throughput at 5 μm resolution, or a smaller imaging field for a resolution of down to 1 μm. Also available is an 80 mm lens, providing a mid-size imaging field with a resolution down to 2.0 μm. Because the Model 6700 simultaneously provides both high resolution and throughput, it is ideal for precision Generation 3.5 applications, such as flat panel displays for PDAs, cellular phones, digital cameras, and global positioning systems.

The Model 6700 offers fully integrated subsystems that provide manufacturers with maximum performance and flexibility. These subsystems include a high-fidelity projection lens and illumination system, a precision X-Y stage, an automated substrate alignment system, an automated reticle handling and storage system, and a sophisticated suite of metrology sensors that make the Model 6700 one of the most advanced stepper platforms available.
