Azores History
Azores Corp was incorporated in March of 1999 by a group of former employees of MRS Technology, Inc. The new Azores Corp began by providing technical and product support to customers of the former MRS, but soon expanded into refurbishing and manufacturing. Quickly, Azores turned its focus to providing full system integration, thus offering more extensive products and services than its predecessor.
The first Azores system was the Model 5200 Photolithography Stepper, which incorporates seamless integration of multiple subsystems: high-fidelity projection lens and illumination system, precision X-Y stage, automated substrate alignment system, automated reticle handling and storage system, and a sophisticated suite of metrology sensors to calibrate and optimize system performance.
Azores used this proven platform technology to develop Models 9200 and 6700. Azores' core product, the Model 9200 PanelPrinter™, is a step-and-repeat system designed for Generation 4.5 flat panel display (FPD) applications, including PDAs, cellular phones, digital cameras, and global positioning systems. The Model 9200 provides imaging at 1.5 µm under actual manufacturing conditions, and features a small footprint and low-cost reticles. The Model 6700 PanelPrinter™ System offers optimal throughput and resolution for Generation 2.5-3.5 configurations. With resolution ranging from 5 µm down to 1 µm, the Model 6700 meets the most precise imaging requirements of the mobile display industry.
Now Azores Corp is the leading worldwide designer and manufacturer of precision photolithography equipment for the flat panel display and semiconductor industries. The company provides local sales and customer support throughout Asia, Europe, and The Americas.
Azores is led by Elvino da Silveira, President and CEO, and Steve Gardner, Vice President. |
