Flat Panel Display Basics
Flat panel display (FPD) technologies are classified by panel size and display size. Panel sizes range from Generation 2 to Generation 8, with Gen 2 to 4.5 primarily addressing small FPDs and Gens 5 to 8 for larger FPD products, such as large screen televisions and computer monitors. Similarly, display sizes range from small displays, such as those used in PDAs and cellular phones, to large displays, such as those used for home theaters.
Azores' 9200, 8700, and 6700 systems are designed for a variety of flat panel display applications, including smartphones, PDAs, cellular phones, digital cameras, portable media players, and global positioning systems.
